USPS: Calling all writers – Request for monthly blog post submissions

Employees are invited to participate in the Postal Posts corporate blog each month by writing and submitting stories on designated topics.

The topics, which will change each month, can be found on the monthly employee blog post submissions page.

The first topic: What is the most interesting item you have ever delivered, processed, or assisted a customer with? Submissions are due by Monday, Sept. 8.

A signed release must be completed and included with blog post submissions. Employees can download the release form on LiteBlue.

To submit a post and release, you can:

  • Email them to socialmedia@usps.gov with “Employee blog submission” in the subject line
  • Fax them to 202-268-2175 to the attention of “USPS social media”
  • Mail them to 475 L’Enfant Plaza, SW, RM 10501, Washington, DC 20260, to the attention of “USPS social media”

Blog post submissions should be between 300-500 words and must be on the monthly topic in order to be considered. One to two posts will be chosen for publication each month.

Additionally, only submissions by current postal employees will be accepted.
